Extremism. Radicalisation. Terrorism. How much do you know about how and why they occur, what their effects are and what your responsibilities are?
Prevent work depends on effective partnership and cooperation between the police, local authorities and communities.
Anyone who engages with the public regularly should understand what radicalisation means and why people may be vulnerable to being drawn into terrorism as a consequence of it.
The three-module course covers the meaning of extremism and its links to terrorism. It goes into detail all the key legislation, in particular The Prevent Duty, the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 duty on specified authorities to pay due regard to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism.
During the course you will learn the signs that might indicate people are being radicalised and what you can do to help prevent it.
The course contains additional resource materials, useful links and refresher guides. On completion, learners will automatically get a course certificate, complete with name, CPD hours, date and learning objectives. There’s also the option to demo to discover if it’s the right course for you.
