The Care Act 2016 updates the Care Act 2014, which was introduced to ensure a person-centred approach to care planning as a legal requirement for local authorities. An awareness of the principles of the Care Act is crucial for you if you’re working in any role in health and social care.
As we live longer, care is becoming a greater burden on carers and professional providers. To lighten the load and provide better, more tailored care at the same time, the idea of person-centred care has become key to care and support planning.
This Care Act training course forms part of our suite of online courses developed to support the implementation of Part One of the Care Act 2014. It’s based on existing Skills for Care training materials.
This Care Act guidance course also contains additional resource materials, useful links and handy refresher guides. On completion of the course, you’ll also automatically get a certificate with your name, the CPD hours you’ve achieved, the date and learning objectives covered.
Our safeguarding Care Act course contains essential knowledge for you if you have any role in care and support planning and need a good Care Act summary. It’s great for staff employed by local authorities and other organisations responsible for care and support planning particularly as care is now usually provided by a multi-agency system; as well as managers of people undertaking care and support planning.
