NHS Continuing Healthcare
NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) is the care package arranged by the NHS for people who aren’t in hospital and who have been determined to have a primary health need.
Eligible people can receive CHC in a variety of settings, including in their own home or a care home. A good care package can make the difference between a full and partial recovery.

The course contains a substantial amount of information in an accessible format facilitating understanding.
I found the course quite engaging. The teaching method also made it very easy to follow and understand the subject matter.
The course was relevant to my role, checked on my learning, provided feedback and was easy to use.
I found this subject very interesting. It is an area that i will need to be more knowledgeable in my role as a social worker.
The course is sufficient as an overview
As this is a new area it was important that it was very clear – which I feel it was.
Very engaging and provided a good overview. Use of example situations was helpful in order to apply the learning.
Familiar with this topic but was interesting all the same
The Care Act 2014 (along with its subsequent updates) provides a single legal framework for charging for care and support. It enables local authorities to decide whether or not to charge a person for their care and support needs or for a carer’s support needs. The new Care Act assessment framework has been designed to make charging fairer and more clearly understood by everyone. Understanding it properly is essential if you work with people in need, whether in the public, private or charity sectors.£20.00 Per license (Exc VAT) Add to basket
Autism is much more common than many people think. There are around 700,000 people on the autistic spectrum in the UK, more than 1 in 100. This means that, including families, autism affects 2.8m people. But, despite the high number of individuals that are likely to have the condition, many of us have a poor understanding of autism and what it actually means for both the individual and those who work and live with them.£20.00 Per license (Exc VAT) Add to basket
