If you work alone, you have responsibility for your own safety; but are you aware of lone working policy? Have you ever completed a lone working risk assessment? This course gives you all the essential skills you need to prepare yourself for safe working in your own home, or working at an employer’s building and travelling for work alone; so you never have to feel compromised or at risk.
This short lone working procedure course identifies who would be classed as a ‘lone worker’ and explores the risks of lone working and what can be done to reduce these risks.
You’ll learn about employers’ and lone workers’ responsibilities, along with suggestions for techniques and equipment to improve your safety as a lone worker. You’ll cover different scenarios, including working alone in another person’s home, working alone in your own home, travelling, and working alone in an employer’s building. You’ll learn how to deal with aggression and other challenging incidents when you’re on your own. You’ll also learn how to complete a working alone risk assessment.
You will automatically get a course certificate on course completion, with your name, the CPD hours earned, the date and the learning objectives covered.
This course is aimed at people who work alone as well as their managers and supervisors. This might include social care and healthcare staff working in people’s homes, people who work from home, people who travel for work, such as sales reps or consultants, staff who work outside office hours and those who meet clients or customers in private.
