Manchester City Council purchase e-learning courses to provide a comprehensive induction programme for all of their social care staff.

In early 2009 Manchester City Council purchased the Me ContactPoint course to provide pre-classroom training to their Children’s Workforce.

Manchester subsequently decided that they wanted to provide their own social workers with an induction course that could be taken online by their own staff, as part of their social worker training and induction process.

The Worforce Development team reviewed a number of children’s social care e-learning courses currently available and decided to purchase Me Learning courses on Information Sharing, CAF, Lead Professional and Safeguarding.

All the courses have the same look and feel so people can work through the courses quickly and easily. Taken together, the e-learning courses provide a comprehensive Induction Programme for anyone involved in the care of children.
