Please note – this course now forms part of our Human Trafficking and Modern Day Slavery course.
Child trafficking is an increasing problem in the UK, and those subjected to slavery are all around us.
Created in conjunction with The Modern Slavery Act 2015, learners will gain a thorough understanding of the scope of the problem, the specific ways in which children are recruited, coerced, and exploited by traffickers, and the main indicators that a child is or might be a victim of trafficking. This course provides a detailed general introduction to this crucial issue, and explains how you should respond if you come into contact with a child who is potentially a victim of trafficking.
This course is essential for anyone who wants an overview of child trafficking and slavery, particularly those whose work might bring them into contact with children who have been trafficked:
- Social workers
- Health care workers
- Law enforcement
- Those who work with children, such as teachers or care workers
- Colleges and British Universities
