Castle Point Borough Council has launched a new online learning platform in partnership with Me Learning, giving employees access to high-quality digital training anytime, anywhere.
Following a competitive tender process in late 2025, Me Learning was selected as the Council’s digital learning partner, delivering a tailored e-learning and learning management solution to support workforce development now and into the future.
Supporting Workforce Development
The Council’s new training provision is hosted on Me Learning’s Learning Management System, Form, providing seamless access to over 300 e-learning courses covering safeguarding, health and safety, leadership, compliance, and professional development.
Designed for flexibility, the platform enables staff to complete training on desktop or mobile devices, making learning more accessible around busy workloads. Managers also benefit from real-time reporting and analytics, helping monitor compliance, track engagement, and identify skills gaps.
A Trusted Local Government Partner
Me Learning was chosen for its strong track record in local government, quality content, and flexible approach. Throughout implementation, Me Learning worked closely with Castle Point’s Learning & Development team to configure the platform around the Council’s processes and priorities, ensuring a smooth launch and supporting long-term workforce development goals.
Castle Point Borough Council’s Learning & Development Lead, Simon, said:
“Here at Castle Point Council we were after a newer LMs provider during 2025, as what we had didn’t quite tick all the boxes. I came across Me Learning through a colleague at the next town council from me, who’d been using that system for a while and had lots positives comments form their experience.
After lots of ‘shopping around’ at other providers as well as Me Learning, we opted for them as it was able to provide everything we needed and more. We went live with the system on 1st Feb 2026, with a couple of months build up in getting everything prepared, such as providing information in our Comms and getting users profiles built. The Me Learning helpdesk was especially helpful in getting things set up before the launch date and supported me with genuine care and courtesy. They have also been helpful since with other queries I have had.
Within a week of the new system going live, I had several colleagues come up to me with positive comments, saying things such as “this is so much better” and “it’s so easy to use and navigate round”. Some also noted the variety of courses available to everyone to build on their own personal development.
Now over 4 months into the system being available, more and more people are enrolling on courses and meeting their learning needs. This is a game changer for us here and I look forward to the next three years working closely together.”
Driving Workforce Development and Organisational Impact
The launch marks a significant milestone in Castle Point’s commitment to continuous improvement. By centralising training within a single, user-friendly platform, the Council has streamlined processes, improved visibility of learning activity, and enhanced the overall learner experience.
With access to a broad and regularly updated digital library, staff can maintain compliance, strengthen core competencies, and develop new skills that support high-quality service delivery to residents. The Form LMS’s reporting functionality ensures learning is measurable, transparent, and aligned with organisational objectives.
Looking Ahead
As the platform becomes embedded across the organisation, Castle Point Borough Council will continue to work in partnership with Me Learning to maximise engagement and impact.
This collaboration ensures the Council’s learning offer evolves alongside changing priorities, regulatory requirements, and workforce needs, reinforcing its commitment to investing in people, strengthening skills, and building a resilient, future-ready workforce equipped to serve the community effectively.
