This course will empower you with practical strategies to confidently manage difficult situations. You’ll learn to de-escalate conflict, set clear boundaries, and protect the positive sport experience for everyone.

In this course, you’ll explore what mental health means in sport and physical activity settings, the pressures that can affect players, coaches, officials, volunteers and staff, and how poor mental health can show up on and off the field.

Unconscious bias can be a major issue in determining how people and groups are judged, which in turn may influence how we treat them. In this course we’ll look at how to recognise our own biases, how to ask for help to identify our unconscious biases, and how to create sporting environments that enable everyone to participate fully in their chosen sport.

Everybody who comes into contact with children has a duty to ensure their safety. In this module we will look at types of abuse, warning signs to look out for, and what to do if you suspect a child is being abused.
